Module 2: OARSI 2019 Updated Treatment Guidelines
Staying up-to-date on the most effective and proven OA treatment guidelines and recommendations is crucial to helping your OA patients. These guidelines offer comprehensive and patient-centered treatment profiles to facilitate individualized treatment decisions regarding the management of OA.
When this module is completed, you will receive the “Module 2: OARSI 2019 Updated Treatment Guidelines” digital badge! However, to receive one CME credit, you must complete all five modules.

- The treatment algorithm and how to use it in clinical practice for patients with OA of the knee
- Core treatments for all patients with OA of the knee
- Level 1A, Level 1B, and Level 2 treatments for OA of the knee without comorbidities
- Level 1A, Level 1B, and Level 2 treatments for OA of the knee with gastrointestinal (GI) comorbidities
- Level 1A, Level 1B, and Level 2 treatments for OA of the knee with cardiovascular (CV) comorbidities
- Level 1A, Level 1B, and Level 2 treatments for OA of the knee with frailty
- Level 1A, Level 1B, and Level 2 treatments for OA of the knee with widespread pain and/or depression
- When to refer to orthopedic consultation
